I think I have a mac one on my work windows PC, where it works brilliantly. I haven' used it lots, but I occasionally use it with my laptop or ipad, both at work and at home. At least at some point apple moved the tactile key dots from the S and K keys to the windows-standard F and J keys (probably 25-30 years ago).Ī big bonus for the MX keys is that it's easy to switch between three devices. The struggle is real, moving between windows and mac with my imperfect translation of ALT, control, option, and whatever it's called (command key that looks like a propeller). Mostly the same, but a few annoying differences. I have two of the fullsize logi mx keys, one in windows version and one in mac version (I wanted to get two windows ones but the mac one was in stock and they're mostly the same). Uglier than the Magic Keyboard-shape is bulky and enclosure is plastic that does not match either shade of Mac Space Gray perfectly

Does not integrate as nicely with the OS no OS battery meter and brightness keys always control iMac Pro internal display regardless of focus Windows version, which is sometimes the only one in stock, does not allow F13-F19 at all Requiring combo for F13-F19 doesn't work quite as well for me as the Apple layout Travel is longer than Magic Keyboard (this may be a pro for some, but not for me) Mac-marketed version can access F13-F19 keys with a key combo

Nice feel, although a bit higher effort than the Magic Keyboard Can control two other devices (helpful at work since it sometimes controls my work ThinkPad) Utterly fantastic key shape! Positioning is automatic for me and the keyboard is super comfortable all day long. Near-flat keycap shape provides less positioning guidance Has 19 F keys (I use F13-F19 for various system-level tasks) Feel consistent with non-butterfly MacBook keyboards transitions between machines are easy Can be used as wired through charging cable Superior OS integration (stock battery meters, brightness controls selectively control multiple monitors) Ultimately, though, I stuck with the Magic Keyboard on my home machine, and took the MX Keys to work (where it was a massive improvement over the ancient Kensington wired keyboard I had there). The Satechi was an also-ran, but it was a tough call between the other two. I've tried the Magic Keyboard + numpad (came stock with my iMac Pro) the Logo MX Keys (full-size), and the Satechi Slim X3. So I haven't tried the newer crop of mechanical boards, only laptop-style scissor-switch boards.

I much prefer low-profile to full height full height makes my tendons hurt after a few hours of typing. I use full-size, but there are compact equivalents to my choices.
